RX:FPY

The first thing to say is, if you’ve already run in Speedland, you’re going to love these. They offer the same sure-footedness in fit and last that all the models have and I’m so stoked about that. For me, road running isn’t about pounding pavements mindlessly for miles, I yearn to explore and create as I run, stairs, back streets, roads, rails, sidewalks, and all the in betweens. My first few runs have been a dream. The uncompressed supercritical foam is SO FAST. Even without the plate I felt the energy return and propulsion — it’s rad. The upper is light, and supportive. The single dial offers enough adjustability to hold you securely across the whole foot. I’m still a die hard fan of the two Boa system, but the single dial is far from a deal breaker.
I ADORE the lugless outsole. It feels reminiscent of climbing-shoe rubber. The traction on asphalt and concrete is stellar. No slippage or scuffing. It’s like an extra few percentage points of energy return.
I’ve yet to run in these with the plate, when I do I’ll write a second review.
I never thought I’d say this, but I might’ve found a road shoe that’ll make me enjoy running roads … and that’s coming from a life long trail dog.

I’ve wore tested this shoe and put it through the absolute ringer. Long days. Short days. Fast days. Plate in. Plate out. You name it… I’ve run it.

And what I’ve learned is this shoe does everything incredibly well. The ride is like nothing I’ve ever run in before (uncompressed super critical foam is bonkers!). The single boa snugs it up perfectly well.

Coming from thousands of miles on the double boa Speedlands, I was a bit worried about the single dial working as well… and let me tell you… it does.

This shoe will be on my feet for the 24 hour world championships this year as it’s the perfect road ultra shoe for me!

I've had the pleasure of testing the RX:FPY for a couple months now and I have to say, GAMECHANGER!
Being a relatively new convert to trail and spending most of my life running roads, I developed my own standard for comfort. Having run in most super shoes at the start of the craze, and finding issues with all of them, I have to say, the FPY answers all the problems I've ever run into.

Deceptively light and insanely durable. 150+ miles in with little to no sign of wear. Foam so incredibly soft and responsive still, it feels like they did on day one. Really, the foam is insane. This, mixed with a very stable footprint, really does speak to comfort and confidence on the road.
The stiffer plate really makes the super shoe aspect come alive. I can't even notice it under foot. For days when dropping the hammer is wanted, throw the plates in. For days when you want an all paces, plush cruise, go without them. Either way you can't go wrong

The fit was amazing! Perfectly accommodating toe box, with a glove like fit. The single BOA system provides an unmatched, all around lockdown that will make you never want to fiddle with a shoelace again.

Easy to say that this is the last road shoe I will ever run in

I have been running in a prototype and this shoe is like nothing else on the market. Light and fast with a BOA fit system -- all the ingredients for a perfect shoe. I love being able to take the plate out for recovery runs and put it back in for interval sets. I sometimes use the plate from my GS versions too, which is slightly less stiff than what comes with the RX. Amazing product!

Light, tough and comfortable…not much else to say or ask for. Great job guys!
